THE STORY
Set in 1987, ONE UP is an original eighties musical following Bryson, a determined but untested female video game programmer, who develops her own game and learns the importance of community… and the cost of unbridled ambition.
Featuring thirteen new songs by Matt Dahan (creator of Pulp Musicals and music director of acclaimed theater company Team Starkid) and consultation by Dona Bailey (co-creator of the iconic arcade game Centipede), ONE UP is an unabashed musical-lover’s musical full of humor, heart, and gaming nostalgia, with a synth-pop soundtrack as addictive as the games that inspired the show.
